So i have a graphics card which takes up quite a lot of space, in order for me to connect my 4 pin cpu cable to my motherboard i have to put it over the graphics card and it can just barely get in, but i'm planning on getting a new graphics card which may take up more space, this means that my 4 pin cpu cable wont be able to reach the slot when i get a new graphics card.

i'm thinking of solutions to my problem, can i:
use a pci-e 6 pin cable as an alternative because the slot for my 4 pin cpu cable is an 8 pin and the pci e cable can fit

buy a 4 pin cpu extender (sorry if it's a stupid solution but i just want to make sure because i'm not used to motherboard problems) like this one
