If you have the extra money go with the 780 since it has more cuda cores it also has 1 gb more buffer. Which will last longer in your computer than a 2gb card would. you can always overclock you clockspeed. but you cant get more vram or cuda cores.

Thanks for the reply but i still have yet to know why the clocks are lower on the 780 when its meant to be a better card?

It is because the 770 is an EVGA superclocked card which is probably one of the largest factory overclocks on the market.

Wait so those clocks for the 780 are stock and no overclocked from he factory already? cause on newegg it says it super clocked..

Yeah i saw the names but i though it was SC cause when you click it on newegg n scroll down it has gtx 780 super clocked :ouch:

It has a factory overclock but i doubt it issuper clocked that is why there is such a clock disparity. But you can overclock the card yourself up to the speed of the 770 since you have a really good after market cooler that comes with the card go for the 780 :)
