It is, but it will cost you considerably more overall as you will need a new mobo also.

I think the FX-6300 works best for you ... and if you have the budget (and PSU), pump more cash into your video card.

You have 4-pin CPU power, no PWM sinks, and mid-range after-market cooling ... that's why I think the 95w FX-6300 is the way to go.
