New to site so here it goes.

Son asked to build a new computer for Christmas. Here's the specs.

- Thermaltake V3 VL800P1WSN Tower case.
- Asus F2A85-M Pro Socket FM2 Motherboard - MicroATX DDR3 1866
- AMD A10-Series AD580EOHJBOX Quad-Core Black edition
- Crosair Vengeance CMZBGX3M2A1600C9B 2x4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
- WD Black 1TB HHD WD1002FAEX
- TP LINK TL-WDN4800 Wireless-N Duel Band PCI-E
- Asus AMD Radeon HD7750 HD7750-1GD5-V2 DDR5, PCI-Express
- Win 7 64bit
- ASUS A455-5023 DVD Writer
- ULTRA HS550w 80+Bronze Power Supply.

So son spent most of yesterday slowly unpacking and assembling the unit together. When we flip the switch on, lights power on motherboard, both fans spin but no video signal to the monitor nor are there any beeps.

We double checked connections and I've read up on the sticky but to no avail.

Any thoughts?

Best way to follow should be step by step testing. One of your hardware may be faulty, or more likewise, one of them may not be able to start with auto-detect settings. It may be booting with on board GPU and not the discrete one etc.

Try with minimum components, try just booting with memory & cpu. ( you should hear some BIOS Sounds and then it should beep for no video) , try with only one stick of memory, on board video . Try to determine if one of these conditions can get you into BIOS. Then you should re-evaluate for whats causing this mess.

Be careful for short circuits ( some screw , bad case ) can also lock motherboards into mentioned state.

Try resetting your BIOS. Your manual should explain how.

This may seem like a simple thing, but make sure the monitor is plugged into the 7750, not the onboard graphics on the motherboard, as these are disabled when you use a graphics card instead. I found someone else who had done this a while ago, and they were an experienced builder.

I've gone in and removed the graphics card, wireless adaptor, DVD drive and one stick of memory. So for now all that's attached to the MB is the connectors for the LED's to power, HDD, speaker (front panel connectors), CPU and fan and case fan, on/off power switch.

The 8 and 24 pin power connectors are plug into the MB with one stick of RAM.

Results: Both fans run, standby power light is on but no beeps or signal to video. (I'm using VGA plug on MB).

Figured it out....Ended up needing a new MB. So swapped it out with a new one.
