I think I've diagnosed my computer well enough already, and have deduced that my power supply(/ies) are faulty and/or inadequate.

My specs are as follows:
Asus P8H61-M LX/V3 LGA1155 MB
Intel i5-3450 LGA 1155
2x4gb Corsair Vengeance 1666Mhz
WD 3.5 SATA Blue 500 GB
Samsung DVD-RW 22x SATA
Gigabyte GTX 650 Ti Boost

The first power supply I used was a Cooler Master EX2Treme 475W which lasted at least a year before it failed on me. I gave up on it when the computer ends up in an on-off-on-off cycle with about 3.5s intervals.

I got my hands on an old power supply called Power Logic Magnum Pro 315W. I fixed everything up with it and worked fine for at least 20 minutes, half spent on playing Firefall on med-high settings. After I exited the game and browsed the internet for a while, I lost power to my keyboard and mouse. I forced shut down my computer. After that, my computer would only work if I plugged out my graphics card.

I'm planning to get a Corsair RM650. Would that be a good replacement to last for let's say 2-3 more years?

Solution
I think you've been underpowering that rig. 650watts should be perfect and that PSU is solid - 5 year warranty and 80-plus Gold efficiency.

You can get either a Seasonic S12II & M12II 520W or higher or other brands actually made by Seasonic like Corsair Ax/CX/HX. This will guarantee that the psu is high quallity and will last long. The Corsair RM series is made by Chicony and that isn't a brand known for high quallity components. Not to say that Seasonic is the only high quallity OEM out there but it sure doesn't hurt that they offer 5 yrs guarantee on most of their stuff.
