Hi everybody.

Im looking for somebody to give me a little advice on how to access my nas from another computer not connected via LAN or wireless to the network (i.e away from home)

I have polkast on my phone and that works fine. I would like to give access to my girlfriend and my brother. I understand they can have polkast also but will have to use my login, as using other polkast accounts on the nas I understand I will have to pay for the premium account.

i want my brother to be able to access my video folder and my girlfriend to be able to access all folders and both to have no admin rights( although I will want them to be able to upload and download to the folders and to stream movies from them etc)

How to I get web access to the nas. I'm New to nas completely so best to write replies like giving instructions to a child lol :)

I have the virgin media super hub (the first one) an ASUS RT-N65U wireless router and connected to the NSA325 v2.

Although i am computer savvy, I'm not very good with port forwarding, static ip etc.... this is where I am hoping somebody could help me :) . I have looked at the manual supplied but just dont understand it.... sorry

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply popatim

I have the instructions but to be honest they don't make much sense to a newbie like me :)

Ive managed to set most of it up apart from the things i have mentioned.

I just really need an idiots guide

Hello again

Ive just looked at the instructions you have pointed me to and they are completely different to the basic ones I have. i will give them a read through. Quick scan looks like they are just what I need.

many thanks :)

Hi popatim

Ive had a look through the instructions and to be honest im a little lost.

The layout in the instructions doesnt look like my web interface etc.

Ive managed to set up users with the required rights etc.

Im still unable to work out how to access over the nas away from the LAN..... sorry for being a little dumb :)
