I have RCA modem and Comcast cable. I dedicated a -3.5dB split to the modem from main cable line but my modem is having difficulty in finding the cable signal. I changed the original setup which had modem splt off from TV (2 splits from main cable totaling -7dB). Reason for change was that internet started good at beginning of the day but lost cable signal around dinner time. Internet slowed to stopped each night. Now, my modem searches for 30 minutes to find cable. Router strength is good but pages do not load.
