So my computer refused to turn on moments ago. So I kept restarting it using the power switch on the front panel of my case and now I think it's broken. So I opened up my case and tried to push the power switch with a screwdriver and I think the button just fell in (I know I'm stupid, sorry about that). Now how do I turn my pc on? Or how do I fix my front panel power button? Any help would be great! Please I need help this is making me very frustrated.

Solution
You have to open it and see if you damaged the switch or not.

Case makers will sell a replacement switch(some times it is switches and leds) for most cases.

If you case has a reset button, you can connect that to the power button pins on the board and at least you will have a way to start the system.

Wait so I can insert the reset connecter into the pins for the on/off switch so it will act like the on/off switch?

Sure a switch(momentary contact in this case) is a switch for this use.

So the reset will act as a power and you will no longer have a reset, you would need to press and hold power(5-8 seconds maybe) if the system freezes.

Just make sure you plug it in the same place the power was plugged.

Even I Have The Same Problem That My Front Switch Is Broken , WHen I Connect the REset sw to the Pw switch pins on Mobo , The Computer Wont Start ......I Also Noticed That A Small Amount Of ELectricity Passes Through The WHole Cabinet....What Shall I DO ?? Pls Help !! The Interchange Of Reset sw. Doesnt HElp ...

This is a very old thread, it is best to post a new one next time.

You have another problem if swapping them does not get it to start.

Feeling electricity passing in the cabinet sounds like you should get the wiring look at for that plug(or your power supply has an issue, but grounding should avoid any of these issues).
