So after "Starting Windows" screen my monitor goes black and I can't do anything.. The only way I can log in then is restarting and going to safe mode.

Well if I run CHKDSK /f /r via command (which takes several hours to complete) then after it finishes my pc will start normally.

I can play games, use the internet etc.. Everything works good.

Even games like bioshock infinite, witcher 2, etc do not crash my pc which makes me think it's not my video card.

Howeve if I turn off the computer and turn it back on I have to run CHKDSK in safe mode again to be able to do anything.

Any idea how to fix this?

I7 920
Gtx 580
2tb hdd
6gm ram

Edit: I should say that if I run driver sweeper in safe mode I can boot normally but install video drivers and nothing works again.. I've clean installed though and tried many diff versions to no luck.

BUT if I uninstall my video drivers / run driversweeper then I can boot up normally as well.. Just when I install drivers I get the black screen again.

So makes me think its a video card issue, but if I run CHKDSK and get booted up I can play any game just fine without crashes or anything so that tells me my video card is fine.
