I need to purchase a new hardware firewall for my network but I no longer trust American companies and their allies due to the NSA. Can anyone advise on a possible Russian or Chinese made product.

I don't really care if anyone spy on me, but I feel betrayed when my own Country does it.

If you want to trust your firewall, get a software firewall. Build a PFSense box or something, and it's cheaper and faster.

use ipcop and a bare-bones small box

searched and did not find any updates to such a hardware config, prior configs used ssd drives which can now be easily replaced with super small ssd (phone, photo) cards

As I recall, linux ipcop will run in very little memory with very low processor usage. A challenge for the tom's Hardware crowd of hardware experts, perhaps: design the least cost, simplest, highest performance home-buildable by semi-skilled (aka hubby clutzy like me) labor.

I am thinking $100 or less for all components, memory cards being the most costly at $20 for 30gb.... though dhgate offers a 64gb one for $10. USB 3.0 and 10baseT network connectors.
