I am relatively new to upgrading computers but have some basic knowledge.
My motherboard (Advent A6VMX) currently has 2x2GB DDR2 RAMinstalled and I am looking to upgrade. After using the crucial system scanner I discovered that the maxiumum RAM the motherboard can take is 4GB. If I were to replace the current RAM with 2x4GB sticks, (as there are only two slots) would my PC be able to use it and will it damage any of the components? I am currently running windows 7 64bit.
