best graphics card for samsung s27b970d

Just purchased a Samsung s27b970d mainly for text work (for writing and reviewing word docs). The monitor was super sharp in the store (it was running on a Nvidia GTX660). Got it home and hooked it up to my new computer that has NVidia gt640. Monitor is not as clear -- words are a bit blurry.

What is the best (future proof) graphics card to make text on the Samsung the clearest?

that is what i've heard, but graphics card does seem to impact text...I started off with an hp 27xi (1920x1080) and read that I needed a higher resolution monitor when going with a 27", so traded that for an asus pb278q (2560x1440), and text was much clearer, but still a bit blurry...went back to the store and got this Samsung, but text quality is not as clear as in the store...sales rep said it is the graphics card, and that I need to go with NVidia gtx series (NVidia gt series apparently doesn't have enough "power" for finer text quality on larger monitors)...I wasn't so sure, so brought it home and connected to my brand new computer with the Nvidia gt640, and picture is still blurry (better than asus, but still not clear)...I don't mind upgrading, but just want to make sure that this next move solves the problem...
