Video and Audio Freezes

Recently, at random times, my audio would freeze up, that's the best I can describe it. It's like the audio stops and replays a 1ms segment about 5 times and then keeps as usual. It doesn't skip, it just freezes for a maybe 5ms and replayed one short segment repeatedly. Now, why is this in the graphics section? Well, because just recently, I noticed when it happens, video also freezes. Whether it just be a Youtube video, music video, or video game. Now, instead of thinking it was my sound card, I thought it might be the GPU. Since the only thing I had downloaded was new drivers, I uninstalled them and installed the last version I had, before I had this issue. No change. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? I just don't know what to think at this point. Thanks in advanced.

run hdtune check your hard drive also run a hard drive vendor test tool. if your hard drive is failing is can cause micro studder. other causes can be bios bugs and or damaged chipset drivers. try updating the mb chipset drivers and the audio drivers. also try the same web page in safe mode to rule out spyware or a virus. run malware bytes and hitman pro scan.

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried what you recommended and it found nothing. I start closing programs one by one and then playing videos/music until I saw some result. I can't say I'm surprised, after shutting down good old utorrent, the issue disappeared. That was it. Still, I appreciate your help.
