Hi, Sorry if this is wrong sub-forum.

1.
It's my first time remove everything from slim tower to a bigger case.
I have this cable in the middle of the screen with like 3 color cord

http://imgur.com/1mUrGg1 It's coming from out from next to the CD-ROM

And I have no idea what it's and where does it go.

It has 4 pin on the left with missing [ ] at the bottom and 5 pin on the right

. .
. .
. .
. .
. <--- It look like this and it doesn't match anything. What's this cable for ._____.

2. I connect power supply to my hard drive and plug SATA cable from hard drive to motherboard.
When I look at CD-ROM, there's a SATA cable slot too. What am I suppose to plug CD-ROM SATA slot to??

Am I suppose to use another SATA cable to plug CD-ROM to Motherboard too?

Thank you very much.

Solution

1. It's the HD audio connector. Plugs into the motherboard audio header.

2. Plug the CD-ROM drive into a SATA port on the motherboard with a SATA data cable, and plug in a SATA power connector from the power supply. Just like the hard drive.

The cable in question is your front panel USB connector. Plug that into a USB header on your motherboard. Usually there is one labeled F_PANEL USB or something similar.

For your CD_ROM, see the red cable that is plugged into your hard drive from the motherboard? You'll also need one of those for the CD_ROM. This is the data cable. The SATA power cable also has to be plugged in and comes from your power supply.
