Hello everyone, I recently bought a used Canon imageRUNNER 2200 for my small office and I can't seem to get it to work from my desktop. It makes copies through the machine itself but I can't seem to get it to recognize from my desktop so I can print papers basically I need the drivers I have Windows 7 64-bit

I already have another printer installed in the office it is a Xerox 6015NI but I would like to use both

So basically the printer did not come with anything, I bought a parallel to usb cable and connected it to the computer, it wasn't able to install the drivers automatically after I connected the USB I do not know why. I tried going on the Canon website for support and they have a bunch of drivers I do not know where to start.
I tried a few of them by going to control panel, and then "add a printer" but I wasn't able to get it to work

I finally phoned Canon and they want to charge me $160 an hour to provide service and said they cannot do anything over the phone which is completely unacceptable

I am not sure what to do if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it

Another thing is I noticed this printer does not have an ethernet port anywhere. I cannot find it anywhere and I inspected the machine up and down. But from reading everywhere it says that it has network

Thank you

The ethernet for that model is optional "With optional network connectivity capable of handling 10/100 Ethernet "

The driver is this PCL5e-c_6_v14.00_setup_x64.exe but there are lots of other ones you should look at depending on what you use that thing for. Just read the description, you only need one PCL driver, but there is also something for the Fax and also utilities for working with the printer.

The USB to parallel cables don't always work for all printers or computer. If the printer is not even seen as being connected, you can try an add-on parallel card like http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Port-Parallel-Adapter-PCI1PECP/dp/B00006B8BS for PCI interface. Or just order a Network adapter for the printer.
