2x 1 TB HDD RAID 0 - Is built in RAID OK?

Hey Guys!

I'm soon upgrading my rig with 2x 1 TB HDDs in RAID 0 or a single 250 GB SSD (what do you think I should get?) but I just wanted to know, would the RAID built in to the EVGA X79 Dark Motherboard be able to handle the above RAID array?

The built in raid support of motherboards is perfectly fine for home use.
I would prefer to have the SSD and a single HDD, rather than raid-0, as it can't compete with the SSD's performance.

1 x SSD will give you better performance than 2 x HDD in RAID 0.

Most gamers will get a 256GB SSD for their OS, Programs and Games. And a secondary HDD for their music, photos and videos.

Well, the original goal was to have only fast performance drives in the PC... I have a huge NAS server to use for that kind of thing, but I think I'll still pick up a single 1 TB drive for a little internal storage, and just pick up another, larger Samsung EVO.

Yep. Samsung 840 EVO are a good bang for the bucks right now. Good choice.
