My computer is not at all up to par with most people I come across, money is kind of tight at the moment so I was curious if I can try overclocking to boost my computer's performance. As of now I can barely play Battlefield 4 on low settings with 54-57 fps on average. So to sum it all up, Can someone tell me how to overclock and if it is worth the risk?

Overclocking will not bridge the gap. You need a GPU upgrade.

The issue here is your video card not your processor. Even if you did over clock you won't see any noticeable improvement in game play. The recommended setting for Bf4 is a 7000 Series or Geforce 600 Series.
