Should i get an SSD or Keep my HDD or both?

Hey everyone, i will soon be upgrading my motherboard, and as i will have to reinstall windows, i thought it would be a god idea to get an ssd. But the thing thats bothering me is that ( i know it boots loading times etc.) is that it seems to be that they have really low space of like 120gb. Which compared to a 1TB hard drive is barely anything. So could i install the SSD and have my OS/programs on it, but put all my files on my hard drive. And if yes, then how would i do that? Thanks guys.

IMHO, I would aim for a 180 - 256GB SSD as the dedicated OS drive and use the 1TB drive for everything else i.e. music, videos, photos and other items of interest.

I'd rather have the extra space now rather than to have limited space.
