has any one come out with a tech tree it would be nice to look at the component (ie wifi, graphics, cpu, memory) that is most important to the individual and be abele to see what works best with it.

Solution
I think that because of the rapid changes in hardware design and capabilities along with the vast amount of variables (hardware and software) such an undertaking would require a lot of resources (like more than most corporations have). Another problem is that "best" is subjective, best for what?
There are some compatibility guides (PCPartPicker comes to mind) but you need an idea of your hardware wants/needs (or at least a budget to play around) to get anywhere there.
I think that is one of the purposes of forums such as this which can help guide through hype and (hopefully) get you the performance/value out of your system you desire

I like your answer It's not quite a bull's eye but it's definitely close enough, for now.
