Hi,all I have a seagate barracuda 7200.12 1TB hard drive, and when I tried to install Windows7 on it, the installation couldn't recognise there's such a hard drive. I am using asus x58 p6t deluxe v2 motherboard and the bios recognise the hard drive though so what can be the issue?

Cheers

you either have the intel controller in raid mode, return it to ahci in the bios,
or you have it on the marvell controller for which you would would need to install the marvell preintallation driver by clicking install driver on the windows install screen where it asks where would you like to install to.

There also the possiblility that you have it on the intel controller but have the controller disabled but I wouldnt think the bios would see he drive in that case. Enable the intel controller and then make sure its in ahci mode.

hi, i have set up the hard drive in ahci mode in bios, and when installing windows, the installation could not find a driver for the hard drive driver (the installation could not find the hard drive still). So what else can I do?
