Hey all,

Currently deciding on memory for a new build. Have a Haswell processor so looking to keep voltage at 1.5v.

I was just about to purchase this set:http://www.cclonline.com/product/73537/BLT2CP4G3D1869DT1TX0CEU/Desktop-Memory/Cruical-Ballistix-Tactical-8GB-kit-4GBx2-DDR3/RAM0501/?gclid=CPSHxr6A2bsCFSj3wgodangAzQ

But suddenly saw these:http://www.memoryc.com/computermemory/ddr3ram/8gbgskillsniperpc314900cl9dualkit.html?gclid=CKCc38eD2bsCFZLKtAodsg4AFw

As far as I can tell they are exactly the same (same speed achievable at 1.5v, but the timings on the G.Skill kit are not as tight. I am heavily leaning towards the Crucial kit, especially given their low profile which will also be helpful.

Please could you kind folk offer some opinions on the matter!

Thank you,

Ahhh ok thanks. Why would you choose the G.Skill over the Crucial, even when it is C9 and the Crucial is C8?

I am just curious and trying to learn more about memory :p

Would OC'ing it require increasing the voltage past 1.5v?
