I built a Pc for the first time and the system won't turn on. The fans and leds are all going but it make a long beep followed by 2 short ones and just goes on and on. I think it is a memory problem but I don't know what's wrong.
And fx 6300
Gigabyte gtx760 windforce edition
M5a97
G.skill ripjaws 2 x4 go
Cxm600
WD 1tb

Solution
It is a memory problem indeed. Make sure that the RAM modules are properly inserted (push a bit harder - power supply turned off when reseating the RAMs).

Well how do i know for sure, I've tried reinstalling the Ram several times and it still those beeps, could this also becuase from the graphics card too, because when i try to boot up and plug into my monitor i get no output.
If it is indeed my ram, do you know if it is these specific sticks or the model itself is not functional with my mobo.

It should support it then (manufactured in 2013).
Are both latches in place when inserting the RAM module (insert single RAM module, test each slot)?
If yes and still the same, then I suggest testing the board outside the case, for ruling out a short.
If still no go, reseat the CPU and check it for bent pins.
If pins OK, no other ideas. It could be either a board or a CPU issue.

So if it does not boot after doing what you said, i will soon, could the both Ram sticks could be defective? Or is that highly unlikely that both sticks are defective? Thank you for your support i'm very upset and frustrated right now.

It's not unlikely, but I doubt that both RAMs are defective.
Take the board out of the case and put it on its box.
Leave only CPU and CPU fan installed, single RAM module inserted. Here's a video for installing the RAMs that might help:

Connect both 24 and 8 pin power cables, case speaker and pwer button wires. Start the board.
You should get 1 long 3 short beeps with RAM installed and 1 long 2 short with no RAM.

now taking the mobo out the ram did not see, to go down all the way i have yet to push it down further but there seems to be too much f a gap between the notch on the stick and the slot does this mean im not pushing hard enough?
