Hey guys I built my first computer about a month ago and now my friends are interested in building one too so here are there questions:

What is the best possible build for 1000$ (they dont want unknown brands and stuff like that)

Is it better to OC right away or not?(they don't want a CPU cooler unless necessary)

Also is it better to get an amd card or nvidia?(they want to get either a 270x or a 280x instead of a gtx 760 and 770 which I prefer the gtx ones because I have a 770 running right now and it works like a charm)

Thanks and please give me all the extra support and things I should tell them since they are first builders too!

Solution
Well I compared the GTX760 and the 270X and the 760 requires less power is aprox, 18% better at texture filtering.
And I compared the 770 with the 280X, the 770 requires less power, 770 has about 20% better BOTH texel and pixel rates
BUT has a aprox. 63000MB/s less/slower memory bandwith.

the 760 goes for about 250$, the 270x aprox. 225$, the 770 aprox. 350$ Aaand the 280x goes for about 410$
There's you're GPU problem solved, I preffer nvidia myself.

now a decent cpu something like the AMD FX-8350
and a decent mobo.
And 8/12 gb (prefebly kingston (its cheap)) RAM
something like 600/700W PSU,
1TB HDD,
cheap case like for example the antec threehundred
There you shoud be good to go

Might need a cpu cooler but a cheap aftermarket...

You're welcome in advance.
