Hello all,
I'm a bit lost and I need some help. I am upgrading my GPU from a GTX 660 to a GTX 770 tomorrow. I am getting my system prepped for the new card; my current card takes a 6 pin connector and the 770 takes a 6 and 8 pin connector.
Now this is where I'm unsure; my PSU has a 6+2 (6 or 8 pin) connector "string". I don't know what the technical name is but what I mean is that the cable has 2 or 3 connectors on the same length of cable, in the same what that the PSU SATA connectors normally have 3 on the "string". Can you use 2 connectors on the same string to power the Graphics card or can you only use one at a time?
Thanks in advance .
