Hi... this is my first thread and my english is terrible so I'll try to be brief.. I decided to build a new computer. I bought an ASUS sabertooth z77, i5 3570k, GTX 660ti msi power edition, NZXT phantom 630, 2x8 corsair vengeance pro, but I'm confused about the PSU, I have a modular 850w but I'm worried that it will be too much and it won't be so efficient so I was planning on selling it and getting maybe a 650w, i dont want it to work at 15% all the time, because i heard that they work better at 50% - 90% so I don't wanna be overpowered. I will be overclocking and probably adding another gpu on sli, or just one but much better than the 660. Thank you!

Hi - Right - no reviews from a trusted review site - but it looks like a good unit - modern design - OEM is
Sirtec which can make some decent units, has it's tot rating avail in +12v amps, usually a sign of a
good unit.

Modular cables & 5 yr warranty. Looks like a keeper to me.

if you are really concerned with efficiency you should get something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-80PLUS-Gold-Certified-Supply/dp/B00EB7UIO6/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1388454967&sr=8-6&keywords=corsair+rm
The fact that powersupplies run most efficient around that point is certainly true, but you also need to consider the 80 plus rating. This powersupply will probably save you a ton of energy when running that system or even with another 660, although in that case i would go with the 650w version for a few bucks more. However we are talking a maximum of 15% power savings unless your current supply is complete crap, so you should think about it before buying. Buying a similar quality 650w supply will not provide any noticeable power savings.

If it's a good quality unit keep it. Yes, most PSU's have peak efficiency in the 50% max output range, but most good ones are still pretty efficient at 20%. And, if you're upgrading or adding another GPU, the xtra power will be helpful.

Also, a higher power PSU than you need, won't be working as hard and should produce less heat and less fan noise.
