I'm wondering that. And I want to know what does THIS mean and if it is important for gaming:
The NVIDIA Web says NVIDIA GT 720M has PCI 2.0 but not 3.0, and that the GT 740M has PCI 3.0, but not 2.0. What does this mean? What is it? Is there a big difference? What's better for gaming? Should I even care about it?

The higher the model #, the higher the performance and the more expensive it will be.

Click on the following link for more info about the GT 740m as well as other graphic cards / cores. In the middle column is a ranking order of graphics cards based on either benchmarks or the specs of the graphics chips / cores if there are no benchmarks to go by. Anything in black text is a desktop graphics card in the ranks. For example, the GT 740m is listed higher than the desktop Radeon HD 4850; therefore it is considered to be more powerful than that card which was released back in 2008.
