I've asked about 3 questions about this rig. But i want to make sure because this is my first time building. So... will this rig be able to play MAX/ULTRA next-gen games. Also would it run Minecraft? (i'm going to record Minecraft) Here are the specs
Mobo: AsRock Z77 Extreme4 $149
Case: Fractal Designs Define R4 $149
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k $269
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler $89
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 3TB $139
RAM/Memory: Kingston HyperX Beast 16gb (2x8GB) $219
SSD: Samsung Evo 120gb $109
Graphic/Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB BE $399
PSU: NZXT Hale V2 850W 80 plus Gold $189
Optical drive: LG 24x SATA DVD-RW Drive $25
Also if someone could recommend a better mobo that will keep my total under $2000. Thanks in advance :)
EDIT: Also, I dont plan on OC so would getting a X79 motherboard be better? I dont mind changing the mobo and CPU

Solution
Where are you buying from?
It would run fantastically, but I would change a few things:
-Since you say you're not overclocking, you can save a lot of money and still get the same stock performance. Drop the cpu cooler, the stock cpu cooler is fine since you're not overclocking. Grab the i5-4430 (or i5-4440, whichever is cheaper) and the Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H motherboard instead. It uses the newer socket and it's non-overclockable, which doesn't matter since you never planned on overclocking anyways.
-8gb of ram is plenty for games. Stick with 2x4gb.
-Grab the GTX 770 instead of the R9-280X. The R9-280X is way too expensive for the performance you'll be getting. The GTX 770 is ~$310-330 and it performs the same as the 280X, if not a little...

Unless you wait for the price to stabilize back down to the $300 mark, stick with NVIDIA.

I will be buying from PCCaseGear. Also I chose 16gb ram because I also animate and record videos. Also on PCCaseGear the GTX 770 actually costs a $100 more than the 280x. I will take the motherboard and cpu into consideration. Also do you have an estimation on how much FPS this would run while recording? (Maxed)
EDIT: I was also meant to say I dont mind OC if you will get better performance. But then again. Whatever saves me the dollar and gives me a wonderful time is good

Ahh you're in Australia so the prices of the R9-280X is still the same for you guys. Stick with the R9-280X, it's a great gpu for the price.
Your build is good but I would recommend switching from Ivy Bridge to Haswell. Ivy Bridge uses a dead socket now that will never be used again, while Haswell uses a more relevant socket.

Alright. So what CPU is this? XD (Sorry I'm a first-time builder) ^_^ Thanks anyways

For an overclocking combo, go for the i5-4670k + ASRock Z87 Extreme4 / Asus Z87-A / Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H. I listed three motherboards that are all equally as good, just pick whichever is cheaper.
If you don't wish to overclock, go with the i5-4440 with any ATX H87 chipset motherboard (Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H or Asus H87-Plus to name a few).

this is very good advice, id take it. the Ivy bridge CPU are the ones that are i3/i5/i7 3XXX . The Haswell chips (newer CPU) are i3/i5/i7 4XXX.
