How do you choose a motherboard?

Solution
Thats sort of like asking if any car is better than another. Different boards have different features. From different onboard sound, to different numbers of sata or usb ports. Some people buy based on brand loyalty, some people buy a certain color scheme to go with their build. Some boards overclock better, some boards are designed for gaming. They also come in different sizes.

Basically you start with the socket/chipset you want and work from there. Pick a form factor, and then find the options you're looking for.
