I am completely new to attempting a PC build (so go easy) but I'm excited to give it a shot. Would anyone be able to give me some feedback on the build detailed below?

I feel like this may be overkill because I'm fine with running games on medium settings and I have no desire to overclock... Could I get away with dialing things back a bit?

I'd like to use this machine to play Skyrim and Fallout 3/Vegas and play around with mods.

Solution
it is a revision of your build, with better price/performance parts selection
cheaper i5 ram and mobo, performs similar
gtx 650 Ti Boost on sale
small case
bigger monitor
you can save $150 with this optimization

I personally would grab the i5-4670k because it has about 5% more performance than the i5-4570 and also it's a "k" version which allows me to have the option to overclock in the future. Also, look for a different PSU. That is a very poor quality PSU, it's going to ruin your pc.

Just another revision, You could squeeze in a Gtx 760 for $10 more than your original build and i borrowed AMD's monitor suggestions because I believe it is a good choice.
