Hello "Tom's Hardware" members,

I am in the need of a new CPU and with that, I also need a new motherboard. I have compiled a bundle that I think shall work in my current system, but I would love to know if you think it's compatible or even possible.

The first item I looked for: CPU. The most essential part of a computer is what I found first. I looked at an "AMD FX-6300 Six-Core 3.5GHz" processor and thought it was the perfect thing for me.

I then looked for a motherboard to go along with it, but also keeping in mind that it must work with my current components as well. I found one that I think will do the job, but I am not quite sure.

If you could let me know if all of the items below are compatible, that would be lovely and would make my day/night.

System itself (stock parts, I've upgraded a few): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03363664&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5231485
Graphics Card Upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-202-011
Power Supply Upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-494-002
Processor I'm looking at: http://www.microcenter.com/product/401797/FX_6300_Black_Edition_35GHz_Six-Core_Socket_AM3_Boxed_Processor
Motherboard I'm also looking at: http://www.microcenter.com/product/379475/M5A78L-M_LX_PLUS_Socket_AM3_760G_mATX_AMD_Motherboard
I've also installed an AVerMedia Live Gamer HD which takes up a PCI Express x1 slot.

(Please look at each component to see if it'll all be working without issues. For example, enough PCI slots, enough space in the case, etc.)

Thank you for the quick response! I have updated the post because I left out some information. Could you please read the last 2 lines and tell me if it is still compatible and has enough PCI slots and space in the case. I am mostly worried about the amount of PCI slots as I do have a network card and graphics card, etc.

In response to your PSU recommendation, I am on a pretty low budget so I can't afford the PSU upgrade at the moment. Thank you for the recommendation, though! :)

The motherboard has 2 PCI x1 slots. One above the PCIE x16 slot and one below the PCIE x16 slot. Since the capture card only uses one of the PCI x1 slots, you'll be all good! When you install the capture card, make sure you install it in the PCI x1 slot ABOVE the PCIE x16 slot so that the GPU stays cool

Thank you again for the quick response. I am still worried, however, due to the fact that on the HP website for my computer, it says that the network card is a PCI interface type. Also, one of the cards in my computer is mini-card x1 slot (or so they say; I have no idea what that is).

I do not have my computer currently as I am visiting family in another state.

Also, would these still be able to go in the slots with my capture card also? http://puu.sh/64mB9.jpg

Can an x1 mini slot card work on a normal x1 slot?

I'm fine with opening up my computer and switching the ethernet card and the network card out when I need to, so that won't be a problem if the answer to question is a yes :p

I really need wireless, so I want to make sure wireless will work if I do all this upgrading :p

Something just caught my eye. The motherboard I'm looking at says it has this built in. Does that mean that LAN is not actually a card on my current motherboard? I cannot look as I do not have my computer where I am.
