Hello, recently I upgraded my processor and motherboard. But I'm now experiencing things that haven't occurred before. Problems such as computer crashing unexpectedly during games. Game types variants widely, I'll be playing a low graphic/old game and crash as the same as a newer/high graphic setting. All games are crashing. The crashing usually entails a burst of weird audio then freezes, eventually the PC will shut down. I'm not experienced with computer tech.

Sounds like it could be an overheating issue. How well seated is the heatsink on the CPU? Did you use the new heatsink that came with the processor, or reuse an old one? Were you sure to remove the plastic covering from the heatsink before you mated it with the CPU, if you used a new one? If you reused an old heatsink, did you clean the mating surfaces and reapply thermal compound properly?

To Anub1s' : Plastic piece was removed, new heat sink was used and the thermal gel was used properly. No temperature problems.

To aldan: I ran the new motherboard install disc after putting in the new components.

if you didnt get rid of all traces of the old drivers you still could have a driver conflict.and to me it sounds like your video driver.do you get a blue screen with an error code? if not go to control panel>administrative tools>event viewer>windows logs to view errors.

There's no blue screen with an error code when the computer crashes. 13 seconds before my computer crashed in Event Viewer>windows logs, the only error was "The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
UsbCharger"

Will try a clean install of windows.

May have found possible solution. I swapped out RAM with a newer one, no crashes yet so far.
