Is my processor good enough for gaming online? [i7 2600s 2.8Ghz]

I've run into a bit of a problem with my performance during gaming. In certain games like Arma 3, DayZ Standalone, Bf4, etc. I haven't been able to run them at a decent 60Fps on high-maximum settings. I'm not sure what the cause of them problem is seeing that my graphics card (Radeon 7870) is up to par with these games. Just as a side note, I play ALL of these games online and do understand that it can contribute to some FPS drops and lowered standard.

Important Specs/Information:
Radeon 7870 Sapphire HD Ghz Edition
i7 2600s 2.80Ghz (8CPU's)
8GB of RAM
[1920x1080 Monitor]
[Computer was bought pre-build at a mid level gaming PC]

The only thing I can think of that would be causing this performance problem would be the processor. Considering most/all of the games are all CPU intensive, this could very well be the cause. I know the 2.80Ghz is slightly outdated compared to what is on the market. I'm at a dead end with this. I'm not sure whether this is normal for my graphics card/CPU combo, or if I need to upgrade my processor. Any help would be appreciated.

Your processor is fine. Its your GPU. Though the hd 7870 is a decent little GPU, it is not fast enough to max out BF4 and Arma 3 and maintain 60fps @ 1080p.

Solution
BF4 has its issues and its still having them its all over the net how come my game don't run well with this or that as far as the other games as the above op said the 7870 is good but maybe consider upgrade to a r 280x or higher gpu... I would suggest another gpu a 7950 but awhile back they could be had for around 200 now there 400 and plus so its the R LINE OF AMD GPU,S NOW ...

Thank you for the reply. I'm not really sure if I will upgrade. Eventually of course I will have to, but looking at some benchmarks and people's tests the difference is there, but not a huge gap. I'll keep looking into it to see if there is a good reason to upgrade. Also, thanks for the suggested cards.
