what is wrong with my build?

im am a new comer to pc gaming and decided to build my own pc ... of course it is being very difficult on me and i dont know what is wrong i get no post beeps and no display i only hear the post beeps when i unplug the ram, it is the 3 short beeps, i also have no graphics card in because im getting one in a few weeks so and i thought you could still get everything up and running without it ... am i wrong? do i need it? could this be causing the problem ... im very confused and any help would be much appreciated

The CPU (Processor) isn't installed correctly. Also check if the heatsink is installed properly. When it's done correctly you will usually get a small beep.

i found out that my version of the i5 does not have a graphics card and the onboard video ports can only be powered by this ... im going to go buy a graphics card today and see if this solves any problems ... ill keep in touch also am i still able to take all the cpu parts out even after the thermal paste is applied or will this mess something up , sorry im new to pc building

Don't go pulling the CPU yet, get the video card and try it first....and yes you can remove after installed though if you remove the CPU will want to clean it and the cooler off and reapply new thermal compound
