Hi, I'm a bit of a PC Building novice and I would like to upgrade my brothers old PC for gaming, I know what parts I need and how to fit them, but I don't know if the motherboard would be compatible for all the parts and I would like to know if there is any software, (not a PC building website please) or anything to check the compatibility of the motherboard i have and the parts i'm going to use, Thanks! I don't know the type of computer it is but I would like to know if there was any way I could check myself what this motherboard is compatible with.

Solution
Yeah, go to the motherboard vendors website and you should be able to find all the information you need about your board. If this is a board from an OEM prebuild, a word of advice, get a new motherboard.

Just a question, how do I know what motherboard will fit in this OEM Prebuild?
