Is it worth replacing the motherboard in a SFF HP Compaq DC770 or should I buy a new case and start over?

I want to be environmentally friendly and not toss the case, but it appears to have a single back plate and I will have to make sure the motherboard matches the port holes. I also hope to re-use the HDD.

HP Compaq DC7700 Desktop Computer - Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz, 2GB DDR2, 500GB HDD

Any tips?

Best option is to toss the case, out of date cases tend to have poorer cooling capacitys and far less physical room. And really if you arent looking for a crazy/awesome looking gaming case then cases are in expensive. however hold onto your case as you may be able to set it up as a server or medium unit at a later date!

Also if your hdd is aged it might well be worth replacing it as, as it ages failure is more likely and it's performance drops, just shop around there are plenty of bargings in the world of hdd's.
