NVIDIA Installer cannot continue
This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware

I recently bought a laptop (Specifically Acer Aspire V3-772G)
This initially came with Windows 8, which I did not care for, so I decided to downgrade to Windows 7. From here on, I downloaded the compatible drivers from this website:
http://driver-lap.blogspot.no/2013/07/acer-aspire-v3-772g-drivers-for-windows.html
I tried installing each and every one of them, but I was only able to install a hand-full of them. One of the ones I was unable to install was the NVIDIA graphics driver. The only graphics driver I have under "Display adapters" is "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"
The drivers are all supposed to work, yet only some will. Please help me?! :)
Thanks in advance!

My System:
-Windows 7 Ultimate (Downgraded from Windows 8)
-12 GB RAM
-Intel Core i7-4702MQ 2.2 GHz Processor
-2 TB HDD
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M

silentplanner is correct, I had the same issue with downloading drivers for my Alienware laptop from the video card manufacturers site, I installed them and then started having no end of issues with the display until I rolled the drivers back and updated the ones issued by Dell
