I had an old PC with these specs-
intel dual core 2.0 GHz
2 gb ddr2
450W PSU smarty
DVDRW and 500 gb HDD

I have replaced my CPU with-
i5 3470
2x4gb corsair vengeance 1600MHz
corsair VS650 PSU
MSI B75-P45
1 tb WD HDD

I have kept my gpu same(gt 9500 1 gb) which i am going to replace with gtx 760 in few months..

My UPS(Powercom IND601A) dint give backup to new CPU(shuts off when power down).
I changed the battery of UPS but didnt work, however it works with old CPU...

My new CPU's current usage should be below 360 W(which is the UPS rating)..

So what is going wrong?? Please help.

Bottlenecking. Your GPU is bottlenecking the CPU. I suggest you remove your GPU and run with integrated graphics. My CPU has the same integrated graphics and it can run games like BeamNG Drive (with mods) and The Next Car Game. Although you'll need to keep everything at low with 1024x768 resolution, it will run at above 45fps at all times.

Yes,with corsair's VS 650.I chose this because I figured my total Watt usage after buying gtx 760 would be around 320W..So chose 650W to keep at at half load(max Efficiency)
