My gpu Load unusually high..... Evga gtx 760. Help!

Hello!
I have got a problem in which my 2gb Evga blower nvidia gtx 760 get about 65-70c while AND AT 1110 CORE CLOCK and I think max memory something in 1500's....... AT IDLE... I am going to do a clean windows install to fix this.... In other works my GPU Load is 80℅ at idle for some reading and it is processing the same way that is why the temps high... So tell me:

My question is until then if I keep using my GPU like this until windows install will it damage my GPU or PC plz tell me...

Malwarebytes isn't really good. I prefer BitDefender it's currently the best anti-virus around and it also picks malware.

However, gettings rid of an infection can be a pain in the ass and take several hours to fix (some of them are really hard to get rid of). So doing a clean Windows install is the way to go for me, it's the only way to...

Don't think it will damage it, most modern GPUs can take heat up to nearly 100C. However, I'd be worried just like you that it's at 80% of use when the computer is idle. Doing a clean Windows install is definitely a good idea.

Before ripping the heart out of your system try a few diagnostics first.
Sounds like the system has picked up an infection, there's a lot of rogue bitcoin miners out there ATM amongst other nasties so run full virus and malware sweeps, note: anti virus software does not usually scan for malware, for that you'll need a malware scanner, Malwarebytes is popular but Google will point to many more.

So doing a clean Windows install is the way to go for me, it's the only way to be sure. Even if you scan your PC with several security software that claim to have found something and get rid of it, how can you be sure there's no trace left or something else it didn't find? Also, depending on the size of your disk, scanning the whole content can take hours especially if you need to do it with different software because the first one didn't find anything. Instead of spending hours trying to get rid of an infection, I prefer spending these hours reinstalling Windows completely (clean install) and this way you're 100% sure you got rid of everything and you start off with a freshly installed system that will operate faster, it's a win-win situation.

Well, seems like you already resolved your own issue, besides, a fresh windows is always a good thing, viruses aside it gets cluttered up and big over time no matter how many "System Optimization" tools you run. So go for it.
