Hi,
I have ordered an Asus Maximus Hero motherboard for my new build - but I got in doubt about this motherboard because of its fan control (the items have not shipped yet).
In the manual I saw that the minimum PWM speed setting is as high as 40% for the CPU fan headers, and 60% for the chassis fan headers using voltage control.
Then I saw that the Sabertooth Z87 presumably can go all the way down to 0% for both the CPU and chassis fan headers.
I know I could get around the problem using Fan Xpert 2, but then I would need to install the whole AI Suite package which I don't need, and it could just cause trouble.
Can this difference really be correct? Do you think the Sabertooth then would be a better choice?
I really dislike the small fans on the Sabertooth though as I want a relatively quiet PC, and I'm not really sure about that armor stuff that is wrapped around it.
What do you think?
