Hey, I've been looking for new parts to build a gaming PC.
These are the specs I've been looking at:

Mobo - ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU - AMD FX-8350 (w/ aftermarket fan for OC)
GPU - Gainward GeForce GTX 770 2GB Phantom
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 1600MHz 16GB
Case - Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl
PSU - XFX ProSeries XXX 750W
Storage - Gonna get a 120GB SSD and 1TB HDD
OS - Windows 8.1

Now for the questions...
Will these parts work together?
Do they fit with eachother?
Will everything fit the case?
Will they be able to max out most games?
What can I change to make it better (within the range of its price)?

Solution
1) yes
2) yes
3) yes
4) probably (if you're on a 60hz monitor... then YES)
5) you can drop the motherboard down to something like a m5a99fx pro and take the saved cash to buy a gtx780 or r9-290... oh... and swap out win 8. ;)

Yes this system will work fine, one recommendation is running a 4gb gpu just to sure up any risk of bottle necking it in high stress games

Based on the system with a 4gb gpu I'd say you'd run most games on high/ultra at 35-50+ fps and games like crysis 3 at around 30 on high
