Hi all,

I'm going to get this out of the way and say I'm no EXTREMELY tech savvy. About a year ago I built my own computer (specs I can list if it makes it easier) and put it in one of my old cases. Turns out overheating because a major issue with this, so I went out and bought a new case.

After putting the components into the new case, when I first turned it on, I received "no signal". I remember having this situation and running the bios the first time around, but I assumed (ignorantly) that I wouldn't have to this time because I had already configured the system.

I don't know if I'm leaving something out and if so let me know, but I was wondering if someone had a quick list of fixes that could solve my problem (outside of the "check your connections" because I'm already assuming that could be something wrong).

Thanks!

Right your check list.

When moving a motherboard to a new case, always take note of where the stand off`s should be placed on the mounting back plate of the case.

Any stand off in the wrong place touching a part of the board where there is no mounting hole to pass a screw through to secure it to the plate can cause a short.

Check the ATX 24 pin block is secure and fitted from the PSU, and also any four or eight pin 12v extra phase power supplement is also connected. The block in question on the board will be located next to, or around the cpu socket.

If your video card in the system uses the Pci-e slot. check that any additional power required to run it from the Psu
To the top or side edge of the card are connected. 12v Pci-e plugs.

Make sure the card is also seated flush down in the Pci-e slot.
