Hello, everybody. I'm from Indonesia and I am planning on building a system which cost around 500USD. The build include only CPU, GPU ( if not using APU), Memory, HDD and PSU. System is to be used for word processing, watching HD movies and online gaming like Path of Exile, Diablo III, Dota 2, Starcraft 2 (medium quality is enough, as long as playable with no lagging)
Is it possible to get with only around 500USD?
Thank you

I chose AMD because it's a better value in the lower cost range. The FX-6300 is easily overclocked and will perform better than the i3 in the same price range. As for why I didn't choose an APU, that's because those are designed with integrated graphics in mine- the APU has a CPU and GPU on the same die. Integrated graphics, obviously, are not good for gaming. However, now that you have a case, here's an updated build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ TigerDirect)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($76.97 @ OutletPC)
Memory: A-Data XPG Gaming Series 8GB (1 x 8GB)...

Here is a build that includes a case; if you don't need the case, you can drop it and get a better GPU, like a 7870.

for the case, I will scavage from old pc. I'd like to ask why do you choose AMD AM3 ? How about Intel products or AMD APU?

Sorry to bug you but I think you've posted a wrong system for me. It already costs 1000USD only for CPU and 4ways SLI? WOW!!!
Ah, Happy New Year 2014.
