As much as I'd like to shell out $1000 for a kick ass system, I just don't have the cash. My ultimate goal is to play BF4 on at least medium settings, preferably on a 1080p TV. If there are alternate, more effective parts for just a tad more money, please let me know!

EDIT: I made a few changes

CPU: AMD FX-6300

Graphics: MSI R9 270X

Hard Drive: Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769

CD Drive: ASUS

Motherboard: MSI 970A

Case: To be Decided...any suggestions? I don't care about looks, just functionality.

All together, the cost is about $620 without the case, but will it get the job done?

Yikes, thanks for spotting that one out...it's my first build, so I'm not 100% confident on everything. Is everything else compatible with that motherboard?

@ sosofm

I can afford both the AMD FX-6300 & MSI 970A-G43 Am3+. With the money I save on the motherboard, the CPU evens it out. With those two changes, will everything else work as intended?

Wonderful. What case should I get? As I said before, I don't care at all about appearance. I want the cheapest one I can find that will work out nicely with everything listed.

Hate to annoy any of you longer than I already have, but are there any really slight downgrades that would save me a good bit of money while still being able to run BF4?

The MSI 970 G43 has a known problem with catching fire . There is no thermal protection for the VRM's so if the board is loaded , or the cpu overclocked then a fire can result .
The MSI G46 might be OK , but before that its just good money on a bad product

Either use the Asrock Extreme3 R2.0 , or ASUS M5A97 R2.0

You can save money by
1/ changing to a 500 watt psu
2/ not fitting a dvd drive

This is an excellent case .
