Hello, Its time for an upgrade and this is my first time going for an intel. In my country they dont have Fx-8350 which i wanted. So i guess the logical choice is i5 4670k.

i5 4670k - $252
Gigabyte GA-P85-D3 - $116
kingston hyperx 1600mhz 8GB single stick - $76
Already have a Gigabyte HD7850 2gb OC edition.
I dont like using a case, will be going commando.
PSU - 600w ( have it )

I will be OCing, not instantly. maybe in a year or so. after buying a hyper 212 that is.
The prices are a bit weird in my country. So if you have any suggestions on any of the parts, i would like to know your thoughts.

I will mainly be gaming + programming.

by gaming i mean dota 2 :)
i might get BF4 too if i like it.

Try to get 2x4GB of RAM so you can run in the faster dual-channel mode.
The Hyper212 is most likely overpriced compared to its competition, based only on the name. I use Xigmatek Gaias on my systems. They're cheaper, quieter, and are either slightly better or slightly worse (+/- 1C-2C) depending on the review.

Xigmatek Gaias is not available. I like the reviews though.
The idea for 8GB single stick is that, i want to be able to upgrade to 16GB in a month or 2. I know that i will be missing out on dual channel at the moment. I am trying my best to future proof the PC. I have 8GB on my current system. and I almost fill it up with the way i multi-task. I see that you are using 3570k. Thats the one i wanted since it overclocks better (according to the forums) but they dont have it either.
My main worry is the motherboard. i cannot find a single review about it.

From my personal experience, I would recommend an ASUS motherboard. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

Any of the z87 ASUS boards are great for overclocking all it depends on is your budget for a motherboard. What would you be willing to spend on a motherboard?

$100 USD. i have noticed they dont have 5.1 audio on the intel motherboards. I dont use it. just not having the option sux. also, do you think asus is better than gigabyte? in the sense do they last longer? mine is at 5 years. no issue's.

I wouldn't call any of them 'Better' than each other. They are both solid boards. ASUS boards tend to have better overclocking tools. It really doesn't matter which brand you choose, as long as they have the features you need and are from a trusted company (i.e ASUS, MSI or GIGABYTE)

Here are two very good mobos from MSI

or

Here is a great ASUS board in your budget:

Hope this helps!

The MSI boards says they support DDR3 3000(OC)/2800(OC), the gigabyte and asus says just 1600.

also, could you explain which features do i need for a great overclock ability?

as of now i like the second one you mentioned. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... just because it has 5.1 sound. But i have had bad experience with MSI VGA's in the past. like 5-6 years ago.

I just went through the details on the motherboard, I like the options on it. also it is ATX size. I wasn't too keen on getting Micro. I will wait a day for other suggestions then you have the best answer.
Thank you so much. :)

I'm backing up Onus on that msi board. It's a great board for the price with great features.

When I said great overclocking ability, I meant if you ever had to go down the road with software overclocking, the Msi boards have great features. I would highly suggest getting an aftermarket cooler and buy a good case for airflow purposes!

Thank you guys, You have helped me out here.
Onus, I cannot own a case for another 2 years. I am living a temporary life and i will be leaving the country. will just be having the motherboard on top of its box and run it :D
kind of a waste to buy a good case to just throw it away.

Yeah i will be getting a good aircooler when i need to overclock. right now, i dont think i will need to since i only have a HD7850. 975/1200
