I have a dell xps dimension and recently it went into sleep mode permanently and wont wake up. The keyboard and mouse are plugged in but dont light up or function at all. I press a button on the screen and it just says "analog input in power save mode. Press any key on keyboard or mouse. Please help me i want to recover my itunes stuff and pictures from this computer. Please dont give me any answers that have to do with going into settings because remember i cant do anything with it. Thanks!

Tried different USB ports? Got a PS/2 keyboard around? Don't know how new the system is (as in, from when you last put an OS on it) but if it doesn't have the right drivers some of the USB ports (either the front panel or motheboard ones) wont work.

Alternatively if you cant get it to come back you could try unplugging it and holding the power button down for 10 seconds to reset it, or take the battery out of the motherboard to clear the BIOS assuming it doesn't just have a reset BIOS switch.

If it still doesn't work you can just take the hard drive out and transfer the stuff you need through another PC.

I really just need the itunes files and some pictures so would best buy or some other company be able to recover those just from the bare drive?
