I just put a 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD into my PC and it is visible in the BIOS/disk managment. The first time I tried to format it the process failed but I managed to make it NTFS after trying again. If I try to download a game from steam onto it I get the "disk write error" message soon after I start installing it. I also tried to run the dxtory disk write speed test and got 2mb/s compared to 67 on my other HDD (I tried running this again on the new drive and it wouldn't even start testing)
I started formatting it again but it's been stuck on 3% for the last couple of hours, can I fix this myself or is the hardware faulty?
