Hello. I have a Packard Bell iXtreme X5620 which comes with Windows 7. When I try to connect to my network wirelessly, it always says limited connectivity and I cannot get online. I have tried to update the drivers, but it always says they are up to date. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but the same problem comes up.

Can anyone help?

If you need more information from me, please let me know.

Thanks.

The Atheros ar5006gs Adapter can only run at 11b to 54g speeds.

If the wireless router you have in your house is set to 150N or 300N speed.
Then it is the reason why it says limited connection and has a yellow exclimation mark in windows 7.

In order to fix this, you will have to log into your router by connecting an ethernet cable to the router it`s self.
And then look for the wireless section.

You should have an option to set the signal from the router for wirless to be set to 54g once done and saved exit the router.
And the Atheros card should work fine.

The only down point is, if most of the other devices you have use N standard wi-fi then they will be slowed down.
But still should work.

Or buy a new N standard wireless network adapter for the packard bell system.

Thanks for your reply.

My router is the one supplied by O2. I have logged into the router and it says that the actual speed is 54Mbps. It does not give me the option to change the speed. It gives me the option to change the Interface Type. Could this do anything? The options are:
802.11b, 802.11b(legacy)/g, 802.11b/g and 802.11g
