So I just built a new computer and have everything installed its great!! The only problem is that my computer will turn on every morning varying between three hours. Yes I am shutting down the computer (Start>Shut Down). One night after shutting down my computer I was using my phone connected to the wifi and it was slow, so I went out and unplugged my router and plugged it back after 15 seconds and to my surprise my computer had turned itself on. I played around with it some more and determined that my computer will turn on after shut down when I unplug the router. I guess it is trying to reconnect or something. Im assuming my router resets itself every morning which explans why my computer turns on. So my question is how do I get it to stop turning on when the router resets. Ive checked the Wake on Lan stuff and its all disabled. Please help I dont understand this crap!

There is a section in bios, where you can disable the wakeup from lan alarm (or whatever it is called). It happens, because the bios notices an unplugged / replugged lan cable.

It turns out that the ASUS Suite 3 That you can install with the disk that comes with your motherboard has two programs that cause this issue. They are the (Wifi Go!) and the (Wifi Engine). After I uninstalled those two drivers I don't have the issue any more.

Directions:
1. Click the start menu
2. In the search bar type appwiz.cpl then click enter
3. Find ASUS Suite 3 and double click on it
4. It will give you a list of what programs you want to uninstall
5. At the bottom of the list select (Wifi Go!) and (Wifi Engine)
6. Click uninstall and you should be good when its done and you restart you computer

Note: If you uninstall the entire Suite then you can just put the DVD in that came with your motherboard and just install everything except those two programs.
