Asus R7-260x OC HDMI and Crashing

I recently purchased the ASUS r7 260x graphics card, after installing I can no longer get picture from the hdmi port. Taking the graphics card out I can again connect through hdmi. It will work with a dvi to vga adapter, but the screen looks blurry and not right, Have tried using the asus reccomended drivers and the newest amd drivers and still no luck, When I do get games running some of them will kick me out after abouit 10 mins. Any solutions on how to get the HDMI working, and possibly stop the crashing?

System specs - AMD A8-3870k 3.0ghz
8GB corsair 1600 RAM
ASROCK- A75M MOBO
ASUS R& 260x- oc 1188mhz

I would prefer not return it, because in most games It works just fine, just at a lower resolution than I would like. and I also forgot to mention I hooked it up through HDMI on another tv and it worked just fine, take it back to my original TV and nothing. Not sure what would cause this ?

hey guys it got solved, It wasnt the monitor I ended up doing a clean install of windows 8 after having a dual boot windows 7 and 8, after that It came up and worked through HDMI just fine lol Thanks for the help!
