Which GTX 770 is better?

I am looking at buying a GTX 770. My PSU can handle it, it's an 850 watt corsair.

I am just wondering which one is best... I am looking for one around £250 give or take £10.

So basically a 2GB model with good cooling etc. I have been eyeing up the Gainward GTX 770 phantom at £260. I did see an MSI Lightning 770 for £255 unfortunately they ended up being out of stock and then when they restocked their price went to £275... It was hard but I gave up the idea of waiting on it to drop back down if it ever will. Thanks!

  1. If you can EVGA and ASUS are almost identical. ASUS has a quieter cooler, and can OC higher, but EVGA has great quality, support, and goodies.
  2. Any idea on what the coolers are like for dissipating heat? I am looking to keep my card at 70c or lower too. Case runs pretty cool and atm right after coming off DayZ on medium settings the temps were around 40-45c card was 60c it's a 550ti.
  3. I never get over 70 degrees with my EVGA 770 with the ACX cooler at max load
  4. Watching a video and browsing right now my ACX cooler is at 35C. Under heavy load (which my card OC itself) it hits about 65C. This is the EVGA cooler which is the second best, the best being ASUS running a few degrees cooler.

  6. Thanks everyone! I am just disappointed I couldn't give all of you as the solution went with the evga it's a little over budget but I am gna sell my GPU I have right now to a friend for £60 to cover the costs. It has a custom cooler on it that I made years ago and is fantastic but wouldn't properly cool the 770. Thanks again!

What kind of GPU do you have? You could hold off for a bit and sell it for more.
